Re: Lubuntu 12.10 and xfce4-notifyd
No more colored text in any future posts for me. It is hard enough to write a tutorial that people can follow without having to worry about an add-on stripping out the text. I use firefox with adblock+ myself. We both learned something SantaFe88. Peace.

Re: Lubuntu 12.10 and xfce4-notifyd
Rex, I started playing around with the Lubuntu 12.10 about a week ago. The only negative I can see so far is the latest pcmanfm v1.0.1 is buggy. I had a custom automatic wallpaper script that I used without a problem in all of the Lubuntu previous versions but that script will crash the latest pcman...

Lubuntu 12.10 and xfce4-notifyd
The new Lubuntu 12.10 uses the xfce notification bubbles by default instead of the previous default notifyosd. The advantage of the xfce notification is the GUI that can be used to modify the position and time duration of the notification bubbles. Although the application has been made default in th...

Re: EJECTER Indicator applet not working Lubuntu 12.04

EJECTER Indicator applet not working Lubuntu 12.04
I had the indicator applet EJECTER installed on Lubuntu 11.10 and it worked fine. After a new install of Lubuntu 12.04 the application doesn't work. This is an Applet that resides on the panel and you click on it to "eject" ( safe remove) USB drives, portable drives or SD cards. The applic...

Re: mouse problem while typing
I use touchpad-indicator to disable my touchpad when a mouse is plugged in. Boot the computer with a mouse plugged in and touchpad is disabled. Boot it without a mouse and touchpad is enabled as normal. Some computers will disable the touchpad via a function key combo like Fn + F6 or Fn + F7. Here a...

Re: autostart application
And it run at startup, then I deleted the new line and still continues to run at startup. Anyone knows why? Check to see if you have an autostart folder in your /home/your_user_name/.config/ folder. Some software will create the autostart folder and subsequent software may put a shortcut (symlink) ...
