Re: Lubuntu 11.10 is here so what do you think?
I'm just the opposite--I'd rather use synaptic package manager than the software center, seems much quicker and easier to me :-) I'm kind of bummed to hear Lubuntu isn't going to have a lts release. I hope that changes. People liking stability would tend to be interested in Lubuntu I'd think, and a...

Re: LXDE Main Menu, "other" Category is not in order
It sounds like you installed LXDE over a Ubuntu install. Is that correct?

Re: Lubuntu 11.10 is here so what do you think?
Still no Software Center. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation/FAQ/Guides#How_to_install_Lubuntu_Software_Center_.28LSC.29 However, note that LSC is under heavy development and the stable version is not yet release. Most likely it will be ready with 12.04 as per the main develope...

Re: Lubuntu 11.10 is here so what do you think?
After two days of procrastination, I finally installed Lubuntu 11.10 and wow. Still no Software Center. Oh well I guess I'll install it myself. I will also more than likely delete the stupid games and the email program and install Thunderbird. I know, it is bloated but I have been using it before I ...

Re: Vertical centering in lxpanel?
That's a real good question. I was just playing around with mine and the only thing that I could do when I increased the size of the panel was increase the size of the icons. However, that is not what you want to do. Let me do some more research.

Re: Lubuntu 11.10 is here so what do you think?
Since all of the other flavors have LTS versions coming out in the Spring, I would assume that Lubuntu will do the same, but I think we have to wait until someone from the group is on line to answer that one.

Re: How to get back the normal right-click on desktop?
Out of idle curiosity do you have the normal right click settings when you reboot and you are asking if you can get them back without rebooting?

Re: Lubuntu 11.10 is here so what do you think?
I downloaded Lubuntu 11.10 last evening via Bit Torrent (45 minutes) but have not installed it yet. I always play around with a new release before I install so I created a flash drive start-up disk and started to play. Everything seemed to work fine. I might add that I am dual booting Ubuntu 10.04 a...
