Re: Upgrade problem -- icons

Ah, you edited some icons by hand and after an upgrade your config files are smashed. Is that right?

Re: Compiz und Treiber in lxde

Naja, das Paket Abhängigkeiten nicht aufgelöst werden können, ist eher ein Problem der Distro, als von LXDE. Du solltest da mal nachfragen.

Re: Upgrade problem -- icons

Are they are only stopping to being displayed or are they deleted?
If they are deleted, you should write a bug report for your distro, I dont think it is intended and have not appeared on my machine (gentoo)

Re: Lxrandr "Unable to get monitor information!"

I would not consider this as error log. X is performing quite well. HID are recognized well, Monitor is recognized too. And there is no error, stopping X in your log. Have you just started X from console and then have not seen anything? So move the xorg.conf away again and start your login manager (...

Re: Lxrandr "Unable to get monitor information!"

Do you have hal and dbus running?
And what happens, if you have hal and move the xorg.conf to xorg.conf.bak and then starting X?

Re: Newvie : how to create the bootable USB LXDE ?

You mustnot store it, to have it bootable.
You need to apply it to the USB stick, so flashing ALL the data on it.
On GNU/Linux you could do that with

Code: Select all

dd if=<IMAGE.img> of=/dev/<USB-DEVICE>
. But I dont know how to do it on Windows.

Re: No wine menu in LXDE - Ubuntu

Only some special categories are implemented in the lxpanel menu.
You should argue with a dev about that.

Re: Screen Resolution + other questions

Synaptic probably does not start, because your are noot root, while starting it. You might need to change the command in /usr/share/applications/{SYNAPTIC//dont know what it is} to gksu synaptic. For muted volumes: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALSA#Restore_ALSA_Mixer_settings_at_startup , but...
