Re: Does apt know what Debian LXDE Maintainers are up to

Hi ellen1910. You might want to double check your sources. Yours are pointing to: debian .org /debian/ wheezy/main i386 Packages While mine are pointing to: debian .net /debian/... Also, you may want try "http://http.debian" instead of "http://ftp.us.debian". I'm running Siductio...

Re: I can not Logout

Hi Icom23

Try "lxsession-logout" in the terminal. The logout window should open.

Do you get a Run box if you Alt+F2. You can try it there as well.

Re: Cannot add newly installed applications to lxpanel launc

Hi lxrider. Just to make sure, take a look at the screenshot below and let me know if this is what you are talking about. If "Yes", then it's a problem with the .desktop files for the apps that won't show up. (I just went through this same problem with Inkscape the other day.) Confirm this...

Re: How restore default LXDE's settings?

it does not much depend on OS Actually it does matter. For example, another person on this forum was having a problem on Lubuntu, which is Ubuntu LXDE, and I have Siduction LXDE, which is Debian. Even though we both have the same panel with the same features, the config files are completely differe...

Re: Hard Drive not recognized

OK, you have Lubuntu on Hitachi (500) as sda1. Once you had Lubuntu up an running, did you go back and re-format the WD? If this was happening to me, I would open gparted, unmount the WD (sdb1), and since there is nothing on that drive, delete any/all partitions on the WD, then create a new partitio...

Re: How restore default LXDE's settings?

Sorry pmam, I am unfamiliar with the Gentoo OS, I'm more familiar with Debian and Ubuntu systems.

Hopefully someone here with Gentoo experience will be able to help you. You might also consider asking for help on the Gentoo forum. http://forums.gentoo.org/

Re: How restore default LXDE's settings?

Hi pmam. What settings did you change? If you changed some config files, you can boot the live cd (or usb if you used that method) and copy the original config files from the cd and paste them where they belong on your hard install, then reboot into your hard install and see if everything is back to...

Re: LXPANEL Directory Menu not working

The only things I can think of is; - Make sure the terminal you have is lxterminal. - Go back to the file you edited and double check the spelling "lxterminal", and make sure there are no spaces. Terminal=lxterminal - Right click on the Directory Menu icon, click on "Directory Menu&qu...
