Re: Keyboard Layout Switching in Lubuntu (almost there)
RIGHT! I finally got this one figured out! Well, not by myself, obviously. I got the help I needed here; http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1896357 I needed to use the -variant option in setxkbmap to get just the right results I wanted. So, as a model for anyone else who might need this sort o...

Re: which distribution with lxde
I tried doing this, but got an error message because of that "RANDOM" command thing. Is there anything special I need to do to make it work proper? Did you remember to make the rotator.sh file executable? (Right click on the rotator.sh file, properties, permissions and tick "make the...

Osmo probelm in Lubuntu 11.10
Hi there! I like using Osmo in Lubuntu. And I had set it to auto start. Up until this morning it worked just fine. But something happened since yesterday and now Osmo doesn't start up properly on auto start like it did. It does start, but not minimized as I had it set for. Nor was there an icon in t...

Re: Vote: Future of PCManFM (Very important!!)
I like PCManFM just the way it is.
For me, one of the handiest feature is tabbing, so I can zip through several folders with one window.
I don't need that all the time, but I find it's handier than Thunar, where you have to use a different window for each folder you're looking at.

Re: Multiple keyboard layouts
Hi! I've just discarded my Windows OS and chose to use Lubuntu from now on. So far, I think I made a wonderful choice. But I've got an issue. How can I add multiple keyboard layouts, and maybe switch them using a keyboard hotkey combination like Shift-Alt? I've seen that the panel does have a Keybo...

[SOLVED] Lubuntu desktop error
HI! I inadvertently chose the Openbox menu for the right click on the desktop in Lubuntu. I can't seem to get it back to what I had and I therefore can't seem to change my desktop wallpaper as a result. Does anyone know how to set this back to the Lubuntu default? Instead of the little Openbox menu,...
