Re: How do you get apps to run at start up?

Hi,

have a look at "~/.config/Autostart" and "~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/autostart". You'll also find the some useful information when trying out the forum search.

Re: Dropbox opens with web browser?????

Hi,

you have to patch xdg-open, to fix this. This helped me. But this isn't easy for new users, make a backup first and if you don't know what to do, ask.

Re: LXAutorun, a simple autostart management app

1. Well I'm speaking German ;)

2. They way the GPL-part looked like. But I'm not good at guessing the editor from the source code ;)

Re: LXAutorun, a simple autostart management app

Hi,

I wrote something like this more than a year ago for the LXDE autostart-file in python. Nice work.
Thanks for all the comments in the source, even I don't know C++ I get the idea how it's working :)

PS: a question: you are using Geany?

Re: NewBie Questions

Hi,

I think you're more lucky getting answers, asking in the TinyoreLinux-forums.

Re: Switching from GDM to LXDM

Hi,

it depends on your distribution. With Archlinux you need to edit the configs, with Ubuntu you are asked and everything is done for you. If there no advice here, you should give the openSuse-forum a try as well.
