Re: LXDE configuration back to Gnome desktop

Ubuntu 18.04 with LXDE (Lubuntu) was the last supported version that was released by Canonical. It was replaced by LXQT for all subsequent releases. Re: Why many distros have abandoned lxde or changed for lxqt?

You can install lxde on virtually any distro. I believe what the conversation has morphed into is which distros offer the lxde as a default download and Ubuntu no longer does that. However, as you have correctly stated it is in their repositories and can be downloaded.

Re: Why many distros have abandoned lxde or changed for lxqt?

Ubuntu (more correctly Lubuntu) moved from lxde to lxqt with the 20.04 release. The last LTS that used lxde was 18.04.

Re: USB Stick is not detecting on Lubuntu!

Since Lubuntu has not used LXDE since 2018, I am assuming that you have the LXQT desktop environment. Recommend that you go to the Lubuntu discourse, https://discourse.lubuntu.me/latest, for a solution to your problem.
