Hi,
have a look at "~/.config/Autostart" and "~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/autostart". You'll also find the some useful information when trying out the forum search.

you have to patch xdg-open, to fix this. This helped me. But this isn't easy for new users, make a backup first and if you don't know what to do, ask.

I wrote something like this more than a year ago for the LXDE autostart-file in python. Nice work.

it depends on your distribution. With Archlinux you need to edit the configs, with Ubuntu you are asked and everything is done for you. If there no advice here, you should give the openSuse-forum a try as well.
