LXDE wont start

LXDE wont start

Hi

I have built myself a LFS/BLFS system, I have installed the latest lxde base system components I am having trouble getting it to start.
I can run X and openbox without any trouble. I have got (exec lxsession) in my ~/.xinitrc file when run with startx it switches to tty7 it looks like it will start then throughs me back to prompt on tty1. Hope some one can help with getting it to run thks
