I am thinking of getting the CD of Lubuntu for my old PC. Before I do I want to know if you can use Google to search and that the search engine can be Chrome?

Welcome to the LXDE Forums. Yes can use Google (as well as many others) as a search engine in Lubuntu. Chrome is not a search engine but a web browser, like Firefox. Chrome can be used in Lubuntu also.
