Hi, I upgraded from 14.04 to 16.04, but the weather panel app Typhoon doesn't work now. When I click on it, I get a blank purple window. Is this fixable? I would prefer not to have to open a browser for weather info, as is recommended in the forums.

i do not know this app.
please provide more information about it.
also, find out how to start it on the command line, start it, and show us what messages (errors presumably) it spits out.

i am willing to help, but this is the result of a system upgrade, and you should also ask ubuntuforums.org; it's not really an LXDE issue.
