When there is an upgrade of lxde-settings-daemon or lxappearance, some of my icons disappear and I am at a loss to get them back. I'm going to keep a copy of /usr/share/icons and see if this helps. For now I have pinned the packages, but I certainly need a better solution. TIA

Re: Upgrade problem -- icons
Are they are only stopping to being displayed or are they deleted?
If they are deleted, you should write a bug report for your distro, I dont think it is intended and have not appeared on my machine (gentoo)

Re: Upgrade problem -- icons
Some icons are no longer displayed. They are not being deleted. Sometimes the icons are hard to find, as not all of them are in usr/share/icons
Also, as there are desktop icons and panel icons, it takes a while to figure out how to put them back, even after I find them.
I'm using debian testing.

Re: Upgrade problem -- icons
Ah, you edited some icons by hand and after an upgrade your config files are smashed. Is that right?
Re: Upgrade problem -- icons
yes -- thats about it. Thanks!
