Well, very nice as always. I wouldn't use them for the standard theme, but for a darker mod they would be perfect. Oh, and I would choose the darker mod, but that's only my personal opinion. Geep on doing such great stuff :)

Hello all. I have an idea that might just be worth ignoring. How about going with a green layout for Lubuntu, rather than blue? It would set Lubuntu apart from Xubuntu and Kubuntu, and would fit nicely with the idea of lxde using less resources. Using the "green" environmentally friendly version of linux. I've started with a logo in green but I've included one in blue as well, for anyone who's stuck on blue.

i think thats a good idea. ubuntu is orange and yellow - kubuntu is blue, xubuntu is blue and lubuntu as well? People should see the logo and think "oh, its lubuntu" . They won't remember the logo if it just looks like the one of k/xubuntu at the first look.
Green as the color of Lubuntu would be something else and something new. we should use it.

great, i like them, especially the green one.
I borught the idea of jekopsch to the lubuntu-desktop team, and many of them think it would be a good decision to change it. It's not decided yet, but what do you think?

edit: im new here. is there a lubuntu-artwork mailing list? if yes: please put jo.ge.spam@googlemail in there. Thanks!

Hi,

Well, Leo, I always wonder how you'll get it done to impress me another time ;)

I would decrease the white in the left side, so that the contrast between white and blue/* is not that strong.

Dear jo.ge , it is a good idea to change the lubuntu color. I already have several green logos, and I'll upload them soon.
Thanks

Thank you dear Maces ;)

In my opinion the lxde colour should be yellow because when I think of a light(weight) colour for me it is yellow. And no big DE/distro uses yellow.
My contribution for today is a simple yellow theme. It consists of a murrine-based GTK+ theme and a matching openbox theme. Additionally I made a yellow version of the gnome-colors icons.

Of course I could easily make it in an other colour.
For those of you who want to test it:
lxde.tar.bz2

Just put the folder in ~/.themes/
I didn't include the icon theme because it is quite big and I'm not sure about the license.
