battery pluggin and the like?

Post by omnigoro »

Hi all, I'm newbie with LXDE. I've just installed Lenny with LXDE. Just a couple of questions:
a) Battery and master volume icons are missing on the panel. How could I install those plugins?
b) The digital clock time on the panel isn't also correct, how could I change the date and time ?

Thanks in advance!

Right click the panel and choose 'Add /Remove Panel Items' I'm curious to know if the battery plugin works for you though cause it doesn't work for me. As far as adjusting the time, your going to have to do that manually with the date command, type 'man date' in the terminal if you don't know how. If you want to configure the clock layout, you will have to edit ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/panel. 'man strftime' will give you configuration options for your clock.

Thanks so much for the fast and accurate reply!! Ah, just a last question: Which is the equivalent (if any) of "Alt+Print Screen" for "capturing the active window" and saving to disk?

BTW, I had forgotten to say: Yes, the battery plugin worked for me!
Thanks!
