Hello
I build variants of Puppy Linux with LXDE called LxPup....
Up to now I've used LxPanelX for the panel as it has a couple of features that I really like.
However, it is clear that LxPanelX has been unsupported for some time.
Therefore my feature requests to be added to LxPanel if at all possible are:
1. the "Go below when not in use" feature from LxPanelX
2. inclusion of Recent Documents in the menu as per LxPanelX
My help request is:
In my recent build of LxPupSc (based on slackware-current) which uses LxPanel-0.8.0 and menu-cache-1.0.0 from:
http://ponce.cc/slackware/slackware-current/lxde/
the menu displays in reverse alphabetical order and I can't see any reason why this should be so??? Can anybody suggest why?
Many thanks
peebee

Re: LxPanel - feature requests from LxPanelX + request for h
I tried to check LXPanelX and it appears that it has been archieved. The ability to hide the LXPanel has been included for a long time under panel settings. Future requests should be directed to http://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/feature-requests/

Hi thereRex Bouwense wrote:I tried to check LXPanelX and it appears that it has been archieved. The ability to hide the LXPanel has been included for a long time under panel settings. Future requests should be directed to http://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/feature-requests/
You are correct - LxPanelX is no longer an active project.
Please note:
the "Go below when not in use" feature from LxPanelX is not the same as the auto-hide feature of LXPanel as the panel is only hidden when covered by a window - this is very useful when you want to see the panel in most contexts but also want to maximise the window area for applications such as browsers or office applications
I have posted a feature request on sourceforge as you have suggested.
Many thanks
