Hi,
I have the following 2 problems with the indicator applet on lxpanel.
The first one is that the icons from the indicator applet don't scale if I change
the icon size from the panel settings. The second one is that sometimes the
applet will behave strangely (after icon resize for example) filling the whole panel
with Skype icons or shutter icons (see photo).
Does anyone already had this problem ?
Edit: I use Lubuntu 16.04
If yes, can you please guide how to fix it.
Thanks in advance
Georgi

Re: Strange Behaivour Indicator Applet LXpannel
skype is its own application.
if it doesn't play nice with linux, you have to raise an issue with them.

This is a problem not only with the skype icon, but with all aplication in the indicator bar. Skype was used for the sake of example.
Re: Strange Behaivour Indicator Applet LXpannel
you can manually adjust icon size in lxpanel preferences.Georgi91 wrote:The first one is that the icons from the indicator applet don't scale if I change

maybe you are restarting skype again and again. The second one is that sometimes the

i don't really see how that isn't a skype issue, or a pebkac.
next time you see the icons, count them, then open a terminal and enter
Code: Select all
ps aux | grep -i skype
Re: Strange Behaivour Indicator Applet LXpannel
I do not think Skype was starting multiple times, because when
I clicked on one icon and closed the application all the icons disappeared.
Anyway I was able to fix the issue (for now) by installing the new version of Skype (5.0.0.5)
and leaving the panel the way it is. Thank you for the support.

Re: Strange Behaivour Indicator Applet LXpannel
sounds to me like you solved only one of two issues.
can't you go to lxpanel's preferences and adjust icon size???
edit:
i can see that some icons don't change size; in the below screenshot, left icon is clipit and changes size nicely, right icon is wicd and does not change size. this is because the application does not provide a larger icon and lxpanel will not upscale it.
changing icon themes might help.

Re: Strange Behaivour Indicator Applet LXpannel
That is what I was trying to explain the whole time, some icons just do not change size.
And sometimes if I play with the lxde panel settings too much it becomes buggy.
But all in all I have been very happy with the LXDE. Thank you for your support!
