Is there any way to have desktop top widgets (gdesklets, screenlets, adesklets, etc) show when PCManFM is managing the background?

I'm currently using feh to do the job.

Maybe if PCManFM managed the root window rather than sitting on top of it.

Could that be done? Next release, maybe?
