For some application many instances are listed in the "open with another program" window. The attached image will be clear what I mean. Any one has such issue? If there is a solution, it will be helpful. Thanks



Edit1: If *.desktop files in the ~/.local/share/applications are deleted then the list comes down but using this option created one .desktop file in the said directory. Is there a way to avoid this behavior?

Thanks, maces. Let me search the bug reports and log one if it is not there.Bug report ID 1922872 is already there.As mentioned in the comment section geany is in particular makes multiple entries which needs further investigation.
