I'm encountering a very strange bug with pcmanfm-0.9.7-1 on a fully updated (as of 2000 UTC 14-Jun) installation of Ubuntu 10.10 alpha. Instead of displaying the background image specified in ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE.conf, I get a dark blue screen with flashes of whatever application happens to be under the mouse cursor. Killing pcmanfm gets rid of the problem, but then there is no file manager displaying the desktop. My Fedora 13 installation is running the same version of pcmanfm, and the display behaves properly. Video is onboard Nvidia 9100. Any ideas on how to debug this problem?
The problematic system:
pcmanfm-0.9.7-1
libfm-gtk0-0.1.12-1ubuntu1
libfm0-0.1.12-1ubuntu1
libdrm-nouveau-2.4.20-2ubuntu
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau-1:0.0.16+git20100518+4b8f1a0-0ubuntu1
