New icon for MIME type

Post by Titanicus_bo »

Hi,
I have Ubuntu 12.04.
I'm trying to associate the icon "image-vnd.dwg.png" to all the files *.dwg (Bricscad) with ubuntu-mono-dark theme.
I put the icons in /usr/share/icons/gnome/??x??/mimetypes/ where my theme inherits icons, but nothing happens.
I changed the file freedesktop.org.xml in /usr/share/mime/packages writing:
<mime-type type="image/vnd.dwg">
.......
<glob pattern="*.dwg"/>
</mime-type>
and launched "update-mime-database /usr/share/mime", but the icon of the mime type image/vnd.dwg remains the generic one.
If I change the theme in Oxygen, the icon changes as well, according with that own of the theme (not my icon), but not in ubuntu-mono-dark theme.

What can I do?

Thanks a lot.
