Can't sort desktop icons in LXDE(Ubuntu 18.04.1)

Postby ckrzen » Fri Aug 03, 2018 5:03 pm

Right-clicking and selecting to "Sort Files" --> ... does not change the sorted order of the desktop icons. in fact, ... nothing happens at all.

Is this a known bug or is there some trick?

I'm running Fedora Linux 29 here. If I highlight all of the desktop icons and right-click, there is a selection Snap to Grid. That will evenly space the desktop icons. As for sorting them in any particular order, it should be possible to move them at will.
