Update to 1.3.1 on Lubuntu 16.04

Lubuntu 16.04 comes with PCManFM version 1.2.4 and does not upgrade further from the repository. Unfortunately 1.2.4 crashes randomly so I would like to upgrade.
Is this possible? And how? I am not very skilled in lubuntu or linux (that is why I use simple and lightweight Lubuntu) but can follow instructions.
