#1085 Some keyboard shortcuts stopped working: Alt+Home, Alt+Up

This is a long standing bug.
Essentially, with some language settings, the keyboard shortcuts Alt-Home or Alt-ArrowUp do not work.
The fix seems simple enough.
Do people experience this problem?
