Installing LXNM remove NetworkManager

Just experienced with LXDE on my Ubuntu 8.10 box with Gnome installed. It's fantastic FAST. But I noticed that when I using apt to install the LXNM, it removes the default NetworkManager comes with Gnome and it also removed the configuration of eth0 interface. I don't know whether it's the problem of packaging or there are really confilcts between LXNM and NetworkManager which makes it a must to remove NetworkManager for LXNM to work.......
