Hi,
I've just installed lxde on an aspire one, and everything works very well, cool! Since it's a netbook and it has to be used by a noob (sorry, but I can't find the word in english) I've compiled lxlaucher to simplify things. The question is: how do I configure it? I don't bother the look, but I want to choose the applications to show inside. I know I have to look in /usr/share/applications, but what I found there don't help me to understand how to write things into launcher.menu
Do you have an woh-to or some brief tips?
How to configure lxlauncher
Re: How to configure lxlauncher
Hi
Have a look at "/usr/share/lxlauncher/launcher.menu". Its an xml file. Simply change it to your needs.

Re: How to configure lxlauncher
Yes, actually I already had a look at launcher.menu, but I couldn't understand how to edit it (what to write in it), so I asked here.
Re: How to configure lxlauncher
@maces or any friend,
I would also like to edit my launcher menu, but there is nothing in the location specified ((/usr/share/lxlauncher) no such file or folder...)
and in the /usr/share folder are found only,
lxappearance
lxde
lxpanel
lxsession
lxterminal
where do you suppose that launcher could be? there must be a way to search files in linOS. have to find out about that, too.

You are sure, that LXLauncher is installed? It isn't by default

@maces
thanks for your post.
took some time for me to get back to this subject.
I assumed xlauncher was the "apps menu" in the lower left corner of the desktop. that is what I actually want to edit, configure.

Re: How to configure lxlauncher
2 questions in configure:
1) is possible to put the menu items at left and not at top?
2) is possible to put icons in this menu flaps?
