I can not Logout

Post by lcom23 »

Hello everybody!
I am using Fedora 21 LXDE on my machine and is running very well, and is very light, and on my machine has 2 GB of memory.
Only it's a problem there:
It is that when I click close the session does not return to the Login Manager, the screen locks.
Would anyone have a clue?
But the rest of LXDE is very efficient, I also installed the Yumex the LXQt which is also excellent for my
configuration.
Hugs.

Hi Icom23

Try "lxsession-logout" in the terminal. The logout window should open.

Do you get a Run box if you Alt+F2. You can try it there as well.

Complete shutdown failures seem to have become numerous since the introduction of systemd. My solution has been to ignore the default controls and install two lightweight, simple panel applets, wmmount and wm-logout. First, be sure any external drive that gets power from outside your computer is unmounted before shutdown. You can use the unmount command to do this, or you can find the drive on the wmmount applet and left-click it. Then, shutdown with your system's default if it works, or use wm-logout. See http://lxlinux.com/dock.html for more information on wm-tools. Image

When you say the screen 'locks' do you mean it enters a lock mode where you must enter a password to unlock it or do you mean that it 'freezes' and doesn't not react?

The screen freezes and does not go to the Login Manager.
