Finally, Lubuntu as an LTS

Post by amjjawad »

Hi,

The subject said it all. Indeed, if everything is going according to the plan, Lubuntu 14.04 will be an LTS :)

We all must be ready. 11 months seem a long time but that is not true. We must start from NOW :D

The team is eager to make this THE RELEASE!

With Start Ubuntu Project, LOST version 2 and 101 HOWTOs, and I'm sure everyone has a plan in mind, I'm sure and very confident that we will dazzle the world with 14.04 so let's get started :)

This thread to discuss everything about 14.04 in general :)

Your ideas?
Your plans?
How you are willing to contribute?
What you can do?
and so on ...

Thanks!

Just update the default software and fix any bugs. There doesn't have to be any major changes.

To carry on using Lubuntu on my netbook, I'm on my third release now.

By reporting bugs if and when they are found.

Probably not as much as you would like me to. ;)

I use Lubuntu every day. It has given a new life to my Samsung N130 netbook. If it works then I'll use it. I'm not expecting any great changes from one release to the next.
