Hardware

Post by teak »

I have been a computer a+ tech for years. I discovered commercial computers are sometimes resistant to software, even linux os of variety. I have tried software and other items are varied computers, each may react differently. I find some people are having a miserable time downloading Linux and a few other LInux oriented softwares. I don't know if there is a manufacture (favortism) for just Windows. I could only download two distros in my new PC. I was with Mint, but LXLE seemed more user friendly. I downloaded Mint and it would take 15 minutes for a desktop, I get LXLE right away after I reboot.

I build my own computers, the commercial products have a dictatorship mentality. I just built a Viotek, It also can be inflexable at times. It seems a lot fo companies refuse to have service techs for Linux, like Comcast. I hope this changes.

May some folks would learn from this. This is something a lot of people would want to know. No escaping criticism. Just imagine, this may just about help others.
so some frustrated people will not blame their OS when there is another problem. My contribution.
