Openbox Configuration

Post by seppalta »

I have upgraded my website directed to configuring, modifying and improving the Openbox Window Manager. Almost everything should be applicable to an LXDE desktop: http://lxlinux.com/ and http://lxlinux.com#11

Hey seppalta missed your in depth comments on the forum. Good to see that you are still up and moving around. Things are starting to jump in Arizona. I started a Linux User Group in Sierra Vista and we just had our first Installfest. We did 7 installs and already are making plans for another. Thanks for your updates.

Hi Rex, Are you still with Lubuntu? What are you going to do when it becomes Lubuntu-qt? You should have a look at http://lxlinux.com/icebox.html. Fast and stable and a great lesson in building a full operating system for your students.

We are now in Minnesota - about 75 miles north of Minneapolis. Look us up if you are ever in the area.

seppalta, thank you for keeping that site up & updated.
many people across boards link it to newcomers, and there's a lot of useful info in it.

Hey drooly, seppalta used to mod on this forum if you can remember that far back. I certainly would welcome him back.

Hey, guys, I pass by regularly. You do not seem to have much activity. One thing that may be discouraging people is that my browser labels this forum as unsafe and I have to jump thru loops to get by the block. It may be my browser setting causing this, but this is the only forum that gets stopped, so I'm more inclined it has something to do with the forum. Also, logging-in is a bit chaotic. It would not accept "seppalta" in my 2nd post above (figured I'd been blocked out again), and then it made the post seemingly out of nowhere with the source "guest"??

Yes, "old dude" is appropriate. I was genetically scheduled to die 25 years ago, but science (now a politically dirty word in the USA), socialism and good doctors foiled expectations.

seppalta, I re-instated your global mod status. Hopefully you still wanted it. Your friend has departed for "greener" pastures. I believe the certificate has expired for the forum. Those folks that are responsible for the higher up crap should be working on that. Who knows. I just told the browser to make an exception until they get it fixed. Us old dudes have to stick together. (From Montana to Minnesota. I am still down in sunny Arizona).
