LXDE with Fluxbox

Post by kelskein »

Hi All,
Currently the "official" window manager in LXDE is OpenBox.
Are there any technical or philosophy issues why the developers choose OpenBox instead of FluxBox. Because AFAIK, FluxBox is also good window manager and its license is very pragmatic.

Sure, yes, both openbox and fluxbox are good choices.
I think historically when that decision was made more than a decade ago, openbox was the best choice, but surely fluxbox is just as good.
You can replace openbox with fluxbox if you want to.
