Keyboard setup

Post by rolly1510 »

I have been shopping around for lighter Desktop in exchange for Gnome for my Toshiba laptop. LXDE appeals very
well however I have not find a way around setting up a multiple language keyboard switch.

As I do use different keyboard types in Gnome, I can just add the switch to the panel and define the languages I need.
How can I add such or similar switch in LXDE?

Thanks

Current version of lxpanel has plugin, which you can use as a switcher. But note that this plugin uses predefined keybord layouts in xorg. So first you have define layouts in xorg, next you can use them in lxde.
Another option - use any switcher you can find usable for you comfort work with LXDE, decision belongs to you.
