LXDE & Crunchbang synergy?

Post by Chriswaterguy »

I posted on LXDE & Crunchbang synergy? on the CrunchBang Linux forum. Key point:

I'd love to see CrunchBang's distinguishing features incorporated into the standard LXDE package, perhaps as an alternative setup in the sessions manager when you install LXDE. For one thing, this would see the CrunchBang experience available for distros other than Ubuntu.

Can anyone comment on why the latest release of Crunchbang removed lxpanel in favor of tint?

I wasn't aware of that. This post from earlier in the year showed that the Crunchbang maintainer already liked tint (and trayer) but at that stage they weren't stable enough.
