I have a notebook with S3 Savage video card and when I start with a live-cd Lubuntu the mouse cursor stays as a black square, how can I configure LXDE to display the cursor correctly.

You need to take this up with the Ubuntu support system. LXDE is a very small part of Lubuntu and no one here has any part to play in how your video works.

Try adding Option "HWcursor" "Off" to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file (creating the file if it does not exist). You can edit it in a terminal by typing sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf. I have an old laptop with this issue regardless of desktop environment or distribution.
