Post by lilliana »

Hi ya i want to install linux version fedora os in my pc. i want to know the following.? i already partitioned my hard disk to 5 partitions which is in ntfs format. and planned to install fedora in first partition(i.e., c:\). tired of using windows os in c: so i planned for a change. now if i install fedora in linux partition format in c: can the fedora os read my datas (docs, movies, music,etc..) in other partition which is in ntfs format?i know linux versions os can read some similar file types of windows os. all i want to know is that can fedora in linux partition type(ext4 or other type) can read files in ntfs format partitions which is in the same hard drive?

Yes, it can. Linux can read and write ntfs partitions. It should show up in your file manager as a drive that you can click on to open.
