Running nm-applet

[cdaemon]

I'm running the security spin of Fedora 15, which uses LDXE. I like it.

Wireless is configured with the proper kernel module, and NetworkManager is running. But when I try to bring up nm-applet, I get the following messages:

** Message: applet now embedded in the notification area

The shell prompt hangs, nothing appears, and a ^C gets me back to shell.

Don't really know where to start with this one, any assistance would be appreciated.
