No ethernet (wired) connection after wake up from suspension

Hi all,
After waking up from suspension my ethernet/wired connection fails, and cannot be reconnected.
I tried to disconnect manually, and then reconnect, but without any result. The only way to be connected again is to completely shut down the computer and execute a cold reboot!
Does anyone know how to prevent LXLE x64 16.04.2, the newest build, from killing the ethernet connection during the suspension state?
