menu behaviour

I am trying out lxde in my sidux netbook install but I cant get used to the way that the menu entry that you focus on disappears instead of being highlighted. How can I change this behaviour?

Which menu do you mean?
I have not noticed disappearing menu items yet.

The main menu. On mouseover, the entry in the menu stops showing as the next dropdown menu opens......
