Hi everyone
I've just installed LXDE in ubuntu and it's working fine. The only problem is that every time I try to open a file I'm being asked what program I want to use.Is it possible and how can I restore the previous file association I had with gnome?
thank you
File associations with LXDE
Re: File associations with LXDE
hi
until you get a better reply as I do not use Ubuntu.
assuming you are right handed.....RH mouse click the file you want to view, play or execute
There should be an option to .....open with ......choose open with another application
tick the box to remember and name the application to use......or navigate to it

Re: File associations with LXDE
hi
my bad
its.....rh click the file you want to open for association....eg song.mp3
"open with"
select that option then leads to
"open with another program"
and that should open to show a tick box and box to name your executable?
