With Gnome or Xfce I can opt for better performance at the expense of graphic effects by choosing the metacity option "reduced resources" or by the XFCE windows manager, choosing not to show the window contents while moving or resizing.
With obconf (the configuration editor in lxde), I can only choose do not show the window contents while resizing because the same option is not provided for the dragging of the window.
This is a real shame because when I drag a window I have a jerky motion and a trail that follows the window.
I have also tried to manually open "the rc.xml" file to look for an option that could help but I only found this:
Code: Select all
<resize>
<drawContents>no</drawContents>
I believe that this is a serious lack for a desktop manager for systems with limited resources so I hope that this feature will be implemented in future if not already present.
Excuse me for my poor English
Thanks in advance
