LXINPUT Keyboard and Mouse issues

Postby mick823 » Sat Jan 28, 2012 3:44 pm

Lubuntu 11.10 clean install.
lxinput 0.3.1-1 (Keyboard and Mouse)

Mouse settings for acceleration and sensitivity revert to default after changing. Adjust and save ("OK") and the GUI closes. Open again and your changes were not saved. I did a search here for "lxinput" and found an older post that said the problem is fixed but the problem still exists. Anybody know how to fix this?

I've got Lubuntu 11.10 and mine works just fine. I just tested it. Have you installed all of the updates?

Yes. Everything is up to date. I have the same problem with a Netbook and a Laptop. I even tried re-installing the lxinput package bit it didn't help.

You could try the LXDE version of Linux Mint, probably the most polished LXDE distro out there and familiar enough to a Lubuntu user. Some of the graphical interfaces for things like the mouse don't seem to communicate well with configuration files and I imagine there's one in a filesystem folder that you could alter to get round this issue, only I haven't touched these options, only the touchpad tapping, so I wouldn't know which. Maybe /etc/xdg/lxsession/desktop.conf is relevant.
