Hi,

I just installed LXDE on Debian wheezy. looks good!
But I want to change the desktop background, however when I rightclick on a desktop that is empty nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the lxde forums. I friend of mine and fellow moderator on these forums, seppalta, has developed and maintains a web site (Linux LXDE Guide). If you look here:

http://lxlinux.com/#index

specifically,

http://lxlinux.com/#5

You may find what you are looking for.

Thanks. That has the answer:
~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/pcmanfm.con = wallpaper=/etc/alternatives/desktop-background
desktop-background -> /home/hugo/Pictures/keulen_dom.jpeg

works like a charm.

Great. Glad to be of assistance. We are a small forum and are looking for members who will provide help for those who use the lxde desktop with any OS. Stick around and provide input if you can.
