Hi,
Ubuntu doesn't start LXDE without a monitor attached.
I already changed /etc/X11/xorg.conf and added " GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset" " on /etc/default/grub/menu.lst and nothing happens.
Please help!!!
Thanks in advance
Gabriel

Re: Run LXDE without monitor attached
Thank you for posting your solution so others can benefit but out of idle curiosity why would you want to start lxde without a monitor attached?

Thxs,
Re: Run LXDE without monitor attached
I cannot speak for the OP, but I can say that I personally am running LXDE without a monitor on a headless server. No monitor on the host box does not mean I do not need a desktop manager if I want to access GUI applications over VNC. That is the reason I installed LXDE, so I could run GUIs remotely and have some control over the location of popups from xmessage and xdialog.
