Xrandr problem

Post by kasarmiller »

Hi to all i am just registered

I hope you'll find here 'answers to my questions / doubts ... and even if it were not well thanks anyway for a simple opinion.

I have a Eee PC 1000HD with a 10.1 " display and i usually changed the resolution, over 1024x600 with the following commands:

xrandr --output LVDS1 --panning 1024x768

and

xrandr --output LVDS1 --scale 1x1.28

Recently panning and scale do not works anymore .... the vertical is modified after sending the command, but to pass the mouse arrow:

for the "panning" the schrolling is not active ...
for the "scale" the mouse pointer can not 'have access to over 600 pixels even if they are visible 768

Around the middle of March (2014), the same commands work well.

I would like to know what happened and "if" you can help me to check and possibly (it make me happy) fixing the problem?

thank you for help!

My distro is PCLinuxOS LXDE
