Screensaver freezes after sleep mode
Screensaver freezes after sleep mode
I'm having a problem with the screensaver stopping and the screens wallpaper being pixelated after the monitor goes into sleep mode. I can't get back to the desktop when this happens and have to manually shut down the laptop each time and reboot. How can I stop this?
Re: Screensaver freezes after sleep mode
please tell us what distro you installed, and what hardware to.
which screensaver are you using (gnome- mate- x-screensaver...)?
has this been a problem from the start, or has it started later?
anything out of the ordinary since installation? have you added extra packages/sources?
any other, maybe related problems?

Re: Screensaver freezes after sleep mode
I'm having the exact same issue! I had first installed Ubuntu, but within a few minutes I found it irritating to use.. a quick search put me on to LXDE as a good 'beginner' distro/debian distro.
Absolutely LOVING it so far, other than this issue. I've attached the hardware info dump, exported as a .pdf using LibreOffice.
The standby issue is a huge one for me, so any help would be MUCH appreciated. Not being able to use sleep/standby is a big bummer. Multiple times i've walked away, and come back to see a blurry screen with the knowledge that AFAIK I gotta hit the power button.
