Shutdown on laptop lid closure
Is it possible to set the computer to shutdown / shut off on laptop lid closure? Right now I can only suspend in LXDE, which means it takes power, and on top of that there's black screen when I try to wake up, it can't wake up. My PC is so fast, that shutdown is ok with me.

Re: Shutdown on laptop lid closure
Welcome to the LXDE forums. I am not sure if a shut down can be configured for a laptop lid closure but you can configure the computer to shut down after inactivity using the xfce power manager which is the default program installed. Check the display tab under Power Manager Settings.

Re: Shutdown on laptop lid closure
I need to read the question better. Open the LXTerminal and enter
Find out the line #HandleLidSwitch=suspend, remove the # and change it to:
HandleLidSwitch=poweroff
Save the file and restart the service or just restart your laptop to apply changes.
Code: Select all
sudo leafpad /etc/systemd/logind.conf
HandleLidSwitch=poweroff
Save the file and restart the service or just restart your laptop to apply changes.
