desktop show lots of popups from apparmor

I'm running lubuntu 18.04.1
When I start chromium, I get a whole bunch of popups from apparmor. This started happening after an update to my lubuntu installation. Could you tell me how to go about solving this problem? I've included an image of the popups.

I believe that these popups (as you call them) are AppArmor notifications. They are not unique to LXDE. I saw your question in the Ubuntu forums which is probably the correct place for it. Since you didn't receive a satisfactory response there I would bump the thread to move it to the top of the list.

all of the pop-ups are about chromium, did you not notice that?
i have no idea why, and what apparmor does, but --- maybe you need to update chromium? maybe you need to tell apparmor to ignore chromium?
maybe you need to listen to apparmor and uninstall chromium?

Although I did not mention in my previous post, notifications also popped up on the desktop for firefox, pidgin, libreOffice.
