is this screen expected or a bug?
I installed lxde on my ubuntu 14.04. But when I tried to connect ubuntu from Windows's Remote Desktop, first I was given a dialog window like the one shown. Then after a while, the remote desktop windows looks in this way Is this screen expected or a bug? If it is expected, what do you expect me to do next (ctrl-alt-T does not generate a terminal)? why not make the remote screen from Windows more informative like the one in local ubuntu (see here: http://tinypic.com/r/67mkk9/8)? If it is a bug, how to fix it? (the last picture shows that the lxde can run at least locally). Thanks.

Welcome to the lxde forums. First I believe that Ubuntu 14.04 reached its end of life last April so it is no longer supported. If you are going to stay with Ubuntu the current Long Term Support release is 18.04 and the most recent release is 19.10. Second the picture of the screen you are talking about in your post apparently is no longer available.
