Hello,
I noticed during using LXDE on Debian, the screen blanks every couple of seconds.
This does not happen when I logout and choose e.g. Gnome based session.

Earlier I worked several minutes to notice blank. I suspected Xscreensaver to perform
badly so i turned it off (chmod 644 /usr/bin/xscreensaver). Now I still have blanking
and more often than before.
Could anybody explain/help with this?
thanks

OK, first of all undo what you did to xscreensaver.
Then, after logging out/in, we need some output:
How did you install GNOME and LXDE?
Are you using some power management software? Which one?
Then, after logging out/in, we need some output:
Code: Select all
xset q
cat /etc/systemd/logind.conf
systemd-inhibit
ps aux|grep -i power
ps aux|grep -i screensaver
