Using LXDE as sudo

Post by borpin »

This is probably obvious, but how do I switch to sudo in LXDE. Many of the dialogues are locked and I cannot see how to unlock them.

Cheers

If you are talking about the the configuration menues, then ist not a question of user rights, but of implementation!
Many of these features are not implementet yet.

One way is to use Tools in the pcmanfm taskbar. Open the directory containing the desired file, then click Tools and Open current folder as root. Be sure gksu '%s' is entered in the Switch user command box of pcmanfm/Edit/Preferences/Advanced.
