lost desktop wallpaper desktop

Not sure what I did but I cannot right click and change wallpaper...there is a black desktop, I tried apt-get remove --purge lxde but once logging back into it there is still a black desktop.
Any sugeestions.... besides suing nitrogen??

Have a look at Start PCManFM>Edit>Preferences>Desktop, beside this you'll find more informations in the forum.
